1. There is no fee from USM to receive text messages. Message and data rates may apply - this can be checked with your mobile service provider. Any charges are billed and payable to your mobile service provider or deducted from your prepaid mobile phone service account. Consent is not a requirement for purchase or participation as a service partner.

2. Data obtained from you in connection with this SMS service may include your mobile phone number, your carrier’s name and the date, time and content of your messages to us. We may use this information to contact you and provide the services you request from us. All the above categories excludes text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

3. We use the information we collect, including Personal Information, to provide and improve our products and services, send announcements and communications about our products and services, facilitate marketing efforts, process your requests, and otherwise operate our business. We do not sell your Personal Information. We may share your information, including your Personal Information, among our affiliated companies. We may also share your information with third parties that provide services to us or on our behalf. We may also disclose certain Personal Information as required by law or in connection with a legal claim, dispute, or proceeding or in response to requests by governmental regulatory authorities, or as we may reasonably determine to be necessary or appropriate to protect our rights or the rights of others or to avert loss or harm to persons or property. 4. Alerts sent via SMS may not be delivered if the mobile phone is not in range of a transmission site, or if sufficient network capacity is not available at a particular time. Even within a coverage area, factors beyond the control of the wireless operator may interfere with message delivery, including the customer’s equipment, terrain, proximity to buildings, foliage, and weather. Wireless operators do not guarantee message delivery and will not be held liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Additionally, we will not be liable for any delays in the receipt of any SMS message as delivery is subject to effective transmission from your network operator.
